It is one of my favorites.A Walk to Remember is a novel by American writer Nicholas Sparks, released in October 1999. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good love story, has ever been in love, or has some Kleenex at hand. I wanted to read this book because I am in love with the movie (I have lost count of the number of times I have seen it). This story is heart wrenching, tragic, and beautiful. Landon is drastically changed by Jamie Sullivan as he fulfills Jamie’s wish list. Nevertheless, their time together is filled with small miracles and making each other’s dreams come true. As these two fall unexpectedly in love, they are just as unexpectedly torn apart as tragedy strikes. Landon, on the other hand, is mixed in with the ‘wrong crowd,’ and does not mind living on the edge despite the trouble he might land in. Jamie is the minister’s daughter, studies hard, and is shy. Set in 1958 in North Carolina, Landon and Jamie both attend Beaufort High but are worlds apart. This novel tells the love story of Landon Carter and Jamie Sullivan.
